1) I'm not quite sure what you mean by "variable tile". Kodu uses "scores" for "variables". We chose this because we found it easier for kids to understand. What functionality are you looking for?
2) Networked, multiplayer is very difficult. With most multiplayer games the position of the characters can be predicted frame to frame and then adjusted when the actual position data is synced up. In Kodu we can't do this because the programming can
cause huge changes in just a single frame. To do multiplayer in Kodu we would probably have to go with a system where all the simulation is done on 1 PC and the updates are then sent to the other connected PCs each frame. This would require most of Kodu
to be rewritten.
